About us

At Mitcheldean Early Learners we are committed to learning through play and follow a curriculum as outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

We aim to provide an environment where each child is valued for themselves, is cared about and is encourages to care about others.

All children are given equal opportunity to reach their full potential.

We ensure that the moral and spiritual development of each child is suitably catered for and in order to do this we provide children with adequate knowledge and opportunity to respond to their own beliefs and cultures, whilst acknowledging and respecting those of others.

We are open during term time at our purpose-built Pre-school building situated adjacent to Mitcheldean Endowed Primary School. Early Help Services

When a child and/or family would benefit from support but do not meet the threshold for Local Authority Social Care Team, a discussion will take place with the family around early help services.

Early help provides support as soon as a concern/area of need emerges, helping to improve outcomes and prevent escalation onto local authority services. Sometimes concerns about a child may not be of a safeguarding nature and relate more to their individual family circumstances. The pre-school will work in partnership with parents/carers to identify any early help services that would benefit your child or your individual circumstances, with your consent, this may include family support, foodbank support, counselling or parenting services.
